Josef Dabernig
(b. 1956)
Object, installation, photography, film. Over the years, Dabering has replaced sculpture and installations, those signature media for his early art, with photography and film, which reveal his fascination with modernist architecture. The core of his films is a homogenous narrative which develops in precisely defined public spaces. Through it, he shows mundane, repetitive activities. He almost always appears in his works himself, accompanied by his wife, family or friends.
