Jiří Kolář. Collage with an Ermine

This Polish-English publication, which accompanied the exhibition Jiří Kolář. Collage with an Ermine, consists of text and illustrations. The text part has been constructed from a number of components, replicating Kolář’s own techniques. It contains texts which describe Kolář as a multidiscipline artist (Jakub Kornhauser, Angelika Nollert, Maria Anna Potocka), reminiscences and poetry (Zbigniew Machej), conversation (Helena Kontova), and also a text by Kolář himself. You can also find in the publication a glossary of the techniques that the artist commonly used, and which he had invented himself, such as confrontage, crimplage, rollage or chiasmage. There is also a biographical note of the artist.

The illustrations comprise the works presented at the exhibition.
