The Creative Exchange project aims to bring the Museum, contemporary art and artists closer together, as well as the university community.

 

During the meetings, students will learn about the MOCAK programme and, equipped with knowledge about the current needs of the Museum, together with lecturers and the team of the Department of Art Knowledge, they will define the scope of activity and the shape of future tasks. The project involves introductory meetings, consultations of projects by the team of the Department of Art Knowledge, and in the case of selected proposals, their inclusion in the Museum programme. Creative exchange helps build bridges between different models of education and makes tasks and final papers an opportunity to apply knowledge in practice.

Creative exchange was created with the following majors in mind: cultural animation, pedagogy, cultural studies, fine arts and design. However, the Museum is open to less obvious proposals, because we determine the scope of joint activities individually each time.

THE PROJECT'S CURRENT EDITIONS:

2022/2023: Creative exchange. Around Janina Turek's exhibition Life Recorded in 745 NotebooksCooperation with the psychology major at the Pedagogical University - a project for third-year students under the supervision of Dr. Urszula Tokarska, who participated in seminar meetings led by Dr. Paulina Ornatowska at Janina Turek's exhibition and prepared essays based on Janina Turek's diary.

2022/2023: Creative exchange. The Art of StoriesCooperation with the literary criticism major at the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University - joint substantive preparation and conducting discussion meetings on literature.The project - under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hab. Dorota Kozicka and Dr. Michał Koza - involves students of all years.

2020/2021: second semester: Creative exchange. Lessons – artists from the CollectionCollaboration with second-year students of cultural texts (Faculty of Polish Studies, Jagiellonian University) as part of cultural animation classes led by Dr. Karina Jarzyńska and Dr. Julia Kluzowicz. The classes focus on the problem of how to convey knowledge about art and artists via the Internet, and serve to expand the database of materials about the MOCAK Collection for teachers and cultural animators: pl.mocak.pl/lekcje-artysci-z-kolekcji

2020/2021: second semester: Creative exchange. The collection around MOCAKCollaboration with second-year students of art and education (Pedagogical University of Krakow) as part of cultural animation classes led by Dr. Krzysztof Marchlak. The classes are devoted to the educational challenges of art in public space and designing new educational formats.

2020/2021: first semester: Creative exchange. Graphic design of educational materialsCollaboration with second-year students of Art & Design at the Pedagogical University of Krakow as part of graphic design classes under the supervision of Dr. Urszula Kowal-Kiragi.
2019/2020, second semester: Creative exchange. Format – educational notebookCollaboration with second-year students of cultural texts (Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University) as part of cultural animation classes led by Dr. Karina Jarzyńska and Dr. Julia Kluzowicz. The cooperation resulted in proposals for tasks and exercises based on works from the MOCAK Collection.
