Contemporary Art Contemporary Education
Students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow visited MOCAK on 9 November 2011. The purpose of the visit was to familiarise the participants with the Museum’s educational activities. The activities were in three parts: presentation and discussion of relevant issues, a short artistic workshop session and a tour of the Collection and temporary exhibitions.
In the first part, Elżbieta Sala introduced the students to the way that the Education Section works, presenting the history of the Department, its educational strategy as well as the completed and the ongoing projects.
In the workshop, led by Maria Wegenke, participants carried out an art exercise which related to the October children’s workshop ‘Zebra at the Museum!’. Now you can also see the new ‘zebra’ arrivals in the Gallery.
Finally, the students viewed the MOCAK Collection and the current exhibitions.
