Contemporary Art Academy
Contemporary Art Academy
The project Contemporary Art Academy has been targeted at both adults and teenagers. The sole criterion for taking part is that you are interested in contemporary art and wish to find out more about it. As part of the project, we offer free-of-charge guided tours of exhibitions, encounters with artists, curators and museum workers as well as art sessions, an opportunity to create your own work inspired by contemporary art. The project places an emphasis on sharing information about working in an art museum as well as enabling visitors to find out how the art world operates.
MOCAK collects and presents works of artists from all over the world. To enable international visitors to get to know the art presented at the Museum in greater depth, we organise special projects conducted in English. These offer participants an opportunity to view exhibitions, meet artists and create their own works. The project is partnered by the Erasmus Student Network.
MOCAK participates in initiatives such as Krakow Museum Open Days, Night at the Museum, Podgórze Open Door Days and Slow Art Day. It also takes part in specific occasional events such as the Festival of European Funds. On these occasions, the entry to the Museum is free and a special educational programme is available.
