Awkward Objects
a session dedicated to Alina Szapocznikow

The meeting revolved around Alina Szapocznikow’s book: Awkward Objects (ed. Agata Jakubowska). The publication accompanied Alina Szapocznikow’s exhibition Sculpture Undone, 1955–1972 presented in the WIEKS Centre of Contemporary Art in Brussels in September 2011. We also showed a 1975 documentary Trace edited by Hanna Włodarczyk, one of the first visual works about the artist.
