Revolutionary Clock

Technique: object
Measurement: Ø 25 (each)
Date: 2008

The work relates to the French July Revolution of 1830, when Parisians took pot shots at tower clocks, in a symbolic gesture denoting the end of history or an attempt to make time stand still. In Agnieszka Kurants work, the hands of her clocks move backwards. However, even while moving back, they still allow to mark the present passage of time.
