This moving film depicts the feelings of a Norwegian artist towards Carlton Turner, a black murderer incarcerated on Death Row in Texas, who is in the end executed. Combining his own photographic documentation and video with found materials, Laumann concentrates on the artistic collaboration of the couple in the final, three-month period preceeding the execution. The love of a young woman in a way purifies the murderer and renders him innocent. This transformation of evil into good appears to illuminate all the participants. Behind it is the conviction that everything that happens can carry value.
