Connected

The work shows a mother-and-child relationship; a symbolic connection, which lasts all their life. It is also a picture of time passing. The maternity dress is systematically unraveled and turned into a dress for the daughter. Every year, the mother’s own dress becomes smaller, at the same rate that the child is growing. The artist intends to continue documenting this process for a few years more.
