Need for Speed III
An image which consists of two frames. The upper one shows a fragment of an empty road, its scale marked out by the size of a green hill and a row of pylons. This frame is static. We drive into the lower frame in a speeding car. The composition of the painting – ‘raped’ by the speed of the car – is forced to become correspondingly closer. The movement and velocity which caused the plan to shift are palpable.
