An Adventure with Watercolour
On 22 October 2011, An Adventure with Watercolour, a workshop for children took place, part of the series Autumn Workshops at MOCAK.
First, the children discussed the painting techniques which they already knew, including watercolour. Next, following the trails of installations and paintings in the MOCAK Collection, they looked for a new adventure in the Museum.
This was followed by the task of illustrating the adventure using watercolour. The works created illustrated stories about holiday trips, school adventures, and also about the Museum – inspired by Stanisław Dróżdż’s work In-Between (Między).
Finally, the participants together viewed the works, and each author told of the adventure which had inspired him or her to produce the work. Each work was received enthusiastically and with applause from the little artists, their parents and visitors to the Museum alike.
