DEBUTS (edycja 2016)

DEBUTS is the Poland’s first complex program whose aim is to promote the most talented, emerging Polish photographers. DEBUTS is your chance to reach the most important galleries, museums, and collectors of photography in the world.

If photography is your passion, if you have already debuted or graduated from photo school, send us your portfolio (8 pictures – singles or series) together with short information about you (see below for more details). To this year edition of DEBUTS we welcome all who their adventure with photography (documentary or art) started not earlier than in January 2013.

From all submitted portfolios, our editors and invited guests will choose the best ones which will be invited to DEBUTS – a guidebook for the contemporary Polish photography.

If you are in this group, selected pictures from your portfolio will be presented on four pages (2 spreads). Our editors will carefully select the photographs for publication.

Although submission of portfolio to DEBUTS is free, printing the book meeting the highest standards of photo books, is very expensive. Splitting this cost among all photographers featured in the book, we make it more friendly for our wallets. Your share in printing the book will amount PLN 450, for which:

• you will receive 2 copies of DEBUTS
• you will be promoted by doc! photo magazine or contra doc!
• your photographs will be seen by curators of top 100 photo museums and galleries around the world as well as private collectors who will receive DEBUTS
• you will participate in a group exhibition during the 2016 Fotofestiwal Lodz.
